Linda H. (Lowe) Dailey

Leominster – Linda H. (Lowe) Dailey, 71, of Leominster, Mass., passed peacefully on June 22, 2022, with her family by her side. She was born October 11, 1950, in Leominster, daughter of the late Harold H. Lowe Jr. and Barbara (Hoellrich) Lowe. 

She was a graduate of Leominster High School, Class of 1968, and went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Fitchburg State College. She worked as a teacher, in family businesses, and later as a healthcare assistant, all while primarily dedicated to raising her three children. 

Linda always put her kids and grandkids first, sacrificing to provide whatever they needed even when times were tight. She was the queen of the at-home birthday party and loved to lend a hand in her kids’ classrooms and with any of their organizations. Annual drives to Walt Disney World were a beloved family tradition. Friends were always welcome at the house, especially for Saturday pizza nights. Linda loved hosting big Thanksgiving dinners and typically prepared way too much food for family gatherings. She always had energy for one more game, and she loved being outdoors: in her swimming pool, the garden, picking blueberries, watching the birds, and even mowing the lawn. 

Linda is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Travis of Maynard, Mass., and Katherine Melfi of Cumberland, R.I.; one son, Daniel Dailey of Leominster; her grandchildren, James, Joshua, and Jacob Melfi, and Oliver Travis; her sister, Susan Downing of Leominster; and nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Harold H. Lowe, in 2007.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, July 1, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West St., Leominster, Mass. There are no calling hours.
