Linda M. (Caponi) (Huard) Keane, 77, of Leominster, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at her home on February 13, 2026.
Born in Leominster on May 1, 1948, she was the daughter of Bernard A. and Thelma G. Caponi. Linda was a 1967 graduate of Leominster High School. In her youth, she was a proud member of the Joanettes Drum and Bugle Corps, an experience she treasured throughout her life. She held a lifelong affection for the ocean, which remained her place of peace and renewal.
Following her graduation, she married Wayne R. Huard, the father of her children and dedicated herself to raising her two daughters. During her later years, she held several positions, including roles at Fairlawn Nursing Home and NEBS in Groton, Massachusetts, and ultimately as a home health aide, where she continued to provide compassionate support to individuals in their homes until her retirement.
Linda is survived by her husband, Michael Keane, daughters, Shannon Coffin and her husband Brian, and Julie Carignan and her husband Marc. She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren—Sadie Asch, Zander Asch, and Carly Coffin—who brought her immense joy. She is also survived by her sister, Pamela Campbell and her husband John of Cheshire, MA, and her brother, Arthur Caponi and his wife Karen of Sandwich, MA, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held in the spring, with the date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an animal shelter of your choosing, honoring Linda’s lifelong love for animals.
