Lorna Bolio Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce Lorna L. Bolio, age 56 of Leominster, MA, passed away May 1, 2023 surrounded by loved ones after a long courageous battle with breast cancer. Born January 29, 1967 in Fitchburg to Robert L. and Judith J. (Halligan) Bolio. Lorna graduated from Leominster High School in 1985. Having a deep and profound passion for helping and caring for others, Lorna became a CNA and spent her professional career providing exceptional medical care and treating every patient like a loved one.

Lorna’s compassion, selflessness, work ethic and dedication extended into all aspects of her life. She was a strong-willed, fearless, independent, and self-sufficient women, as well as a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife and mother. Proud to be a BoLiO. Lorna was incredibly talented, artistic and a published poet. With her vivacious personality, she lit up every room she was in. Lorna loved hard and if you were blessed enough to know her, your life was better for it. Lorna was a lioness: protective, supportive, caring, expressive, outgoing, hardworking and loyal. Most importantly, Lorna was a dedicated and inspiring mother who raised all six of her children with unconditional love. 

Lorna was predeceased by her cousin, John Paglia; beloved grandmother, Antoinette (Payant) Halligan and her best friend and little brother, Michael Shane Bolio. She is survived by her mother and father, Robert L. and Judith J. Bolio; her husband Dean A. Parent; her daughter and son-in-law Steffani and Juan Santiago; her daughter and son-in-law Briana and Andy Marizan; her son and daughter-in-law Nicholas and Brooke Crawford; her son Elijah Reaves; her daughter Ianna Reaves; her daughter Tatyana Wolfe; her grandchildren Christian & Sofia Santiago, Naiyella & Nadiel Marizan, as well as her soon to be and future grandbabies; her forever sister-in-law Karen (Sissy) Bolio-Dupree; many cousins, nieces and nephews and many close friends that she loved dearly. 

Calling hours will be held Friday, May 5, 2023 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., at Wright-Roy Funeral Home, 109 West Street, Leominster, MA 01453. Burial will be private.
