Lorraine M. (Bergeron) Frechette

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI - Lorraine Marie (Bergeron) Frechette of North Kingstown, RI formally of Leominster, passed away peacefully Monday, June 6, 2022 after a brief battle with covid with her loving family by her side. She was 87 years old and member of Holy Family of Nazareth Parish for many years.   She was born February 23, 1935 in Manchester New Hampshire, the daughter of the late Alcide and the late Marie Anne (Langlois) Bergeron. Lorraine is survived by her loving children, Diane St. Martin and her husband Charles of Chandler Arizona, and Robert D. Frechette and his wife Leslie A. (Caligaris) Frechette of Saunderstown Rhode Island. She leaves four grandchildren Tracie Welsh, Nikki McIntyre, Alaina Reardon, and Justin Frechette; and four great-granddaughters Melissa St. Martin, Shelby McIntyre, Taylor McIntyre, and Liliana Reardon. They will miss their Memere so much. Her loving husband of 62 years, Robert B. Frechette and daughter Arlene Frechette  predeceased her. Lorraine lived most of her life in Leominster, before moving from Fitchburg, in 1963. She graduated from Fitchburg High School.

Lorraine worked as Assistant Managers at Cherry & Webb Apparel Store, Searstown Mall and Leominster Savings Bank. She eventually retired from Laidlaw Transportation and First Student as a school bus monitor for 17 years accompanying her husband’s route.

Lorraine enjoyed her time with family and friends, and her pet peke-a-poo dogs Kayla and Dana. She embodied laughter, family values and was a woman of strong faith. She cared for everyone else’s health and well-being and prayed continually for their happiness and success. She was a kind woman and could always be counted on to do anything at anytime for anyone. Most of all, “Bergie” cherished every day of 62 years married to her high school sweetheart Robert “Red” Frechette. He was her closest and truest friend, her heart, her soul, the love of her life. They were inseparable. Her spirit is eternal and lives on in everyone she loved.   

Lorraine's funeral will be held on Friday June 10, 2022, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:00 am in Holy Family of Nazareth Church 750 Union Street Leominster, MA 01453. Burial will follow in St. Leo's Cemetery, Leominster. Wright-Roy Funeral Home 109 West St Leominster, MA is directing arrangements.
