Lucia Zelimani November 6,1936 – May 13, 2026

Lucia Zelimani, beloved matriarch and cherished soul, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026.

Having lived most of her life in Ethiopia, the land she called home, Lucia lived with an enduring grace that drew people to her and held them close. She had a gift for making every person she encountered feel seen, valued, and deeply loved, a warmth that radiated through generations and left an imprint no time can erase.

Her presence was one of gentle strength. Whether offering comfort and care to anyone she came across or filling a room with laughter and light, Lucia poured herself wholly into the lives of those around her. She was a safe harbor, a steady hand, and an endless source of love. She loved dancing, shopping and the occasional game of cards. 

Lucia is survived by her cherished siblings, Rosina, Enrica, Margaret, and Fortune, and by a legacy of over 100 children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, each one a testament to the love she so freely gave. They will carry her memory not as a loss, but as a lifelong gift, her love woven into who they are and all they will become.

She is gone from sight, but never from the hearts she shaped.

Rest in peace, Lucia.

Calling hours will be held Friday, May 15, 2026, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm in Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West Street, Leominster, MA.

A Church Service will be held Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. in Worcester Debre Genet Kidane Meheret Orthodox Tewanedo Church, 44 Vernon Street, Worcester, MA.

Graveside Service to follow:  Saturday, May 16, 2026, Evergreen Cemetery, 357 Main Street, Leominster, MA

Food & Refreshments will follow in Leominster Veterans Memorial Center, 100 West Street, Leominster, MA

The family will be receiving visitors on Saturday, May 16th and Sunday, May 17th..

ሉቺያ ዜልማኒ  ጥቅምት 27, 1929 E.C – ግንቦት 5, 2018 E.C.

ተወዳጅዋ እናታችን ወሮ ሉቺያ ዜልማኒ በሜይ ፩፫፣ ፳፪፮ ከዚህ ዓለም በሞት ተለዩ።

ወሮ ሉቺያ  አብዛኛውን ሕይወታቸውን እናት ሃገሬ ብለው በሚጠሯ ት በኢትዮጵያ ያሳለፉት ሲሆን በሁሉ ዘንድ የመወደድ  ጸጋ ነበራቸው።  በሰዎች ሁሉ የተከበሩ፣ ተፈላጊ እና በጥብቅ የተወደዱ እንዲሆኑ የማድረግ ልዩ ስጦታ የነበራቸው ሲሆን፣ ይህም ለዘለአልሙ በልጅ ልጆቻቸው እና በወዳጆቻቸው የሚታወስ ይሆናል።

ሩህሩህ እና ለሰው ሁሉ አዛኝ የነበሩት እናታችን የገርነት እና የጥንካሬ ምልክት ነበሩ። ወሮ ሉቺያ ላጋጠማቸው ሁሉ ፍቅርን እና እንክብካቤን በመስጠት፣ እንዲሁም በተገኙበት ቦታ ሁሉ መረጋጋትን በመሙላት በሚያውቁዋቸው እና በዙሪያቸው በነበሩ ሰዎች ሕይወት ውስጥ የማይረሳ አሻራ ጥለዋል። እናታችን አስተማማኝ መጠጊያ፣ ጽኑ እጅ እና ማለቂያ የሌለው የፍቅር ምንጭ ነበሩ። እናታችን በዳንስ፣ በሾፒንግ እና አልፎ አልፎ የካርታ ጨዋታ በመጫወት መዝናናትን ይመርጡ ነበር።

Lucia Zelmani, amata matriarca e anima preziosa, si è spenta il 13 maggio 2026.

Avendo vissuto la maggior parte della sua vita in Etiopia, la terra che chiamava casa, Lucia ha vissuto con una grazia duratura che attirava le persone a sé e le teneva strette. Aveva il dono di far sentire ogni persona che incontrava vista, apprezzata e profondamente amata, un calore che si è irradiato attraverso le generazioni e ha lasciato un'impronta che nessun tempo potrà mai cancellare.

La sua presenza era fatta di una forza gentile. Che offrisse conforto e cura a chiunque incontrasse o riempisse una stanza di risate e luce, Lucia si riversava interamente nelle vite di coloro che la circondavano. Era un porto sicuro, una mano ferma e una fonte inesauribile d'amore. Amava ballare, fare shopping e l'occasionale partita a carte.

Lucia lascia gli amati fratelli e sorelle Rosina, Enrica, Margaret e Fortune, oltre ai numerosi figli, nipoti e pronipoti che sono stati benedetti dal suo amore.
