Marie (Richard) Richard

Leominster, MA - Marie Richard, 104.1, of Leominster, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones.  She was born on December 19, 1920, in St. Ignace, New Brunswick, Canada, a daughter of Benoit and Alphonsine (Barrieau) Richard.

Marie was well known in the community for her work as a talented seamstress.  She was a devoted member of St. Cecilia Church and an active participant in the Ladies of St. Anne at St. Cecilia Church.

Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years, Wilfred, and by 14 siblings - eight brothers: Charlemain, Albert, Zoel, Jacques, Lionel, Lionel, Francis and Norbert; and six sisters; Nathalie, Beatrice, Aline, Lorette, Diana and Eva.  She is survived by one sister, Rita Richard Daigle (late Ted) of  Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada.

Marie was the proud mother of six children; Jacques Richard (Yvette) of Leominster, John Richard (Jeanne) of Fitchburg, Gilles Richard (Kathy) of Leominster, Anne Marie Bernard (Jean-Noel) of Leominster, Ola Richard (Ginette) of Orange, and Jean-Paul (JP) Richard of Leominster.  She was a cherished grandmother to 13 grandchildren: Lisa, Ann, Michele, Mark, Susie, Lori, Karen, Tommy, Randy, Kristin, Marissa, Katie and Brian, and a great-grandmother to eight: Kathryn, Anthony, Sean, Kailey, Gio, Olivia, Jackson and Chase.

Marie lived a life of grace, love and faith, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who know her.

Visitation will be held at Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West Street, Leominster, on Friday, January 31st from 9:30 - 11:30 am.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 pm in St. Cecilia Church, 168 Mechanic Street, Leominster.  Burial will follow in St. Cecilia Cemetery.
