Leominster - Maurice J. Doucet entered into eternal rest at his home, April 8 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Athol, MA, June 19, 1928, the son of the late Frank and Emily (Landry) Doucet. Maurice attended schools in Athol and Lunenburg, MA and he enrolled in the US Army as a Tech Corporal in Los Alamos, NM.
He worked as a machinist for Modern Tool and Die and Vertex Die Inc. and retired in 1992.
Maurice was a devoted communicant of St. Cecilia Church, Leominster. He was an avid sports fan and coached Little League for many years.
Maurice married the love of his life Theresa (LeBlanc) who predeceased him in 2012. They had 11 children who survived them; Wayne Doucet (Jan), Andrea D'Aquila (Joe), Donna Martin (Larry), Judy Davis (John), Joanne Rainville (Dennis), Steven Doucet (Bella), James Doucet (Paula), Mary Anne Beaulieu (Michael), Joe Doucet, Kevin Doucet, Billy Doucet (Julie). They had 25 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. He was also predeceased by his siblings; Vivian Gould, Jackie Patella, Denis Doucet, their deceased spouses, Ray Gould and Frank Patella and his sister-in-law, Angie Doucet who survives him.

Maurice's funeral will be held Friday, April 16, 2021, from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West St., Leominster, MA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am, in St. Cecilia's Church, 170 Mechanic Street, Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 15th, from 4:00 - 6:00 pm in the funeral home.
