Fitchburg - Mildred A. (Jones) Porell, 92, of Fitchburg, died Saturday, March 26, 2022, in The Highlands, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 11, 1929, in Leominster, MA, and had lived in Leominster all of her life until moving to Fitchburg 10 years ago. She was the daughter of the late Oscar and Maude (Arsenault) Jones. Mildred worked as a clerk in the Assessor's Office at Leominster City Hall for many years. When her time came, she retired from the Assessor's Department. She was a member of St. Cecilia Parish in Leominster, and the Leominster Senior Center. Mildred loved to sing, and play cards but spending time with her family especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren was what made her the happiest. She was a avid traveler going to visit all the National Parks, Alaska, Hawaii, Aruba, Caribbean, Grand Cayman, California to see her sister, Florida, Walt Disney World and Canada.
Mildred is survived by her two daughters Kathleen Quader of Athol, Paula DeLisle and her husband Richard of Fitchburg, a brother Bernard Jones of Townsend, her grandchildren Douglas Senee of Athol, David Senee and his wife Joyce , their children Zackary and Alivia, Daniel Senee and his wife Jessica and their children Jordan, Juliana, all of Leominster, Aimee Guerrero and her husband Gerson (Paco)of Woodbridge, VA, and their children Emily and Jacie Ocasio, Christian and Crystal Guerrero, Corey DeLisle and his wife Angela of Fitchburg, and their children Alexa, Chad, and Giannamarie. She was predeceased by her son Stephen Lamy who died in 1980,her brothers and sisters Harmond Jones, Doris Hobbs, Kenneth Jones, Phyllis Jones, and Patricia Cormier.
Mildred's funeral will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St Leo's Church, 128 Main Street, Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia Cemetery, Leominster. There are no calling hours. Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West St., Leominster, is directing arrangements.
