Leominster - Raymond A. Trainque, 90, of Leominster, MA died peacefully at Leominster Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was surrounded by his family. Born in Fitchburg on March 9, 1933, he was the son of the late Willie and Marguerite (Patient) and the step-son of Marie (Ledoux) Trainque.
Raymond attended St. Joseph School and St. Francis of Assisi School, both in Fitchburg. He attended Fitchburg High School. On June 20, 1950, Raymond enlisted in the National Guard Reserves achieving the Grade of SP4 E-4. He received an honorable discharge on June 19, 1963.
He was employed at the former Commonwealth Plastics in Fitchburg, and at Suprenant in Clinton. He worked at Aubuchon Hardware, Great American Chemical Corporation and the Eusey Press in Leominster. He was a member of Toastmasters International. Raymond was an active member of New Life Church in Leominster.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Rita (Roux) Trainque, his daughters Judy LaFave and her husband Jack, and Cindy both of Leominster; his two sisters Carol and Diane Trainque, both of Fitchburg. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother, Lionel Trainque, brother Robert Trainque and his sister Lorraine Maynard. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
The wake will be held on Tuesday, April 11 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Wright-Roy Funeral Home, 109 West Street, Leominster. There will be a one-hour viewing on Wednesday morning, April 12 from 10:00-11:00 am, in New Life Church, 834 Main Street/Route 13, Leominster, followed by the Service at 11:00 a.m.
