Robert A. Gravelle

Leominster - Robert A. Gravelle, 88, of Leominster, died February 1, 2026, in Bedford Verterans Hospital, Bedford, MA, after an illness.  He was born August 11, 1937, in Fitchburg, MA, son of the late Arthur and Alice (Newell) Gravelle.  He was a US Army veteran serving in the Tenth Mountain Division and received the Good Conduct Medal. Robert worked as a supermarket manager and was also a small business owner.  He was a graduate of Fitchburg High School, Class of 1955. Robert was a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife Theresa (Mazerolle) Gravelle, two sons; Robert Gravelle Jr. and is wife Nancy, Gregory Gravelle and his wife Paula, one daughter; Julie Penning  and one sister Carol Derry, all of Leominster.  He also leaves his grandchildren; Jonathan Penning, Stephanie Penning, Christopher Gravelle and Conner Gravelle, along with three great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 9, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Leo's Church, 128 Main Street, Leominster, MA.  Burial with Military Honors will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster.  There are no calling hours.
