Leominster - Robert B. LaFleur, 75, of Leominster, died May 6, 2024, in Emerson Hospital, Concord, after an illness. He was born April 26, 1949, in Leominster, MA, son of the late Robert E. and Mildred A. (Kendall) LaFleur. Bob worked as a Union Bricklayer in the construction industry. He was the Head Mason for the Trustees at Crane's Beach Reservation in Ipswich, MA. Bob served in the US Marine Corp for six years, where he received the Good Conduct Medal, Rifle Marksmanship-Sharpshooter Badge, The national Defense Service Medal and achieved the rank of Sergeant.
Bob is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joyce A. (Conti) LaFleur of Leominster, one son; Fitchburg Firefighter Lt. Robert Bruce LaFleur Jr. and his wife Gina of Fitchburg, one daughter; Nannette LaFleur of Leominster, one brother; Stanley W. LaFleur of Houston, TX, two sisters; Laura C. Harrington of Townsend, MA and Pamela A. Merritt of Fitchburg, MA. He also leaves his grandchildren; Stevie Tucker USN, JonPaul R. LaFleur ,David B. LaFleur, Jamie LaFleur, Elizabeth LaFleur, Brianna Russo, Kane Russo, Robaer LaFleur and one great grandson, Luka Tucker, and a godchild Samantha Angelini. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, and his brother; Marc D. LaFleur
Calling hours for Bob will be held Friday, May 31, 2024 from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon in Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West Street, Leominster. Burial with Military Honors will follow at 12:30 pm in Oak Hill Cemetery, Sterling, MA.
