Leominster - Ronald Clarence Spencer, 75, of Leominster, MA, died on November 11, 2024, after a long illness. He was born in 1949 in Connecticut, the son of Clarence Noble Spencer and Mrytle (Dow), stepson of Alton “Bucky” Gammon. Ron attended the Edward Little High School in Auburn, Maine. Ron served in the US Marines. Ron’s passions in life included astronomy, telling tall tales, playing cribbage with family and friends, and Bible study. He loved that he had named a star after himself and that he contributed to SETI@home and other large-scale volunteer computing projects searching for signals from neutron stars.

He was predeceased by his parents, brother Donald Spencer, sister Karlene Ward, and an infant brother that died at birth.
