Ruth E. (Place) Dube

Fitchburg - Ruth E. (Place) Dube, 71, of Fitchburg, MA, died November 10, 2022 in HeatlhAlliance Hospital, Leominster.  She was born July 10, 1951, in Gardner, MA, daughter of the late Frederick and Evelyn (Sweeney) Place.  Ruth was a graduate of Fitchburg High School and also Fitchburg State College.  She had worked as a Social worker and Substance abuse counselor for Luk Crisis Center.  Ruth was a member of St. Leo's Church, Leominster and of St. Bernard's Franciscan Fraternity. She volunteered at food pantries.  Ruth held a Private Pilot's License and was a member of the Civil Air Patrol.

Ruth leaves behind her close friends; Malcolm and Janice Colgate of Gardner, and family,  one brother; Everett Place of Fitchburg, and two nephews; Rodney Barr and Glenn Barr, his wife Christine and their children.  She was predeceased by her husband, Louis Dube Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 15th, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Leo's Church, 128 Main Street, Leominster.  There are no calling hours.
