Sandra A. (Gravelle) Carrescia

Leominster - Sandra A. (Gravelle) Carrescia, 75, of Leominster, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, MA, after being stricken ill at home.  She was born in Leominster, July 30, 1946, daughter of the late Francis E. and Mary (Graham) Gravelle.  Sandra was a graduate of Leominster High School, Class of 1964.  She was a hairdresser for many years and later went on to work as a Secretary and Administrator at Fallon Clinic in Leominster for 21 years until her retirement in 2006.
Sandra's greatest joy in life came from spending time with her family.  Her two grandchildren were the light of her life.  She was a devoted mother and loving grandmother.  She will be dearly missed by everyone.
Sandra is survived by one son; John P. Carrescia and his wife Pamela, two grandchildren; Amanda Carrescia and Christopher Carrescia, one brother; Richard Gravelle, two sisters; Gloria Town and her partner Fran, Patricia Schutt and her husband Jeffrey Schutt, sister-in-law, Carol Gravelle, her brother-in-law, Philip Carrescia, sisters-in-law; Rita Hill and her partner Phil and Mary Kimball and her husband Charles "Chip" Kimball, along with many nieces and nephews. 
She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, John E. Carrescia in 2018, her son; Craig S. Carrescia in 2003, her brother Francis "Sonny" Gravelle, and sister-in-law, Sheila Gravelle.
Calling hours for Sandra will be held Sunday, March 13th, 2022 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. in Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West Street, Leominster, MA 01453.  Burial will be private.
