Sandra Ricker Angelini

Leominster: Sandra Ricker Angelini passed away on the evening of March 11th at Clinton Hospital in the company of her loving family, following a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Sandy was born in Leominster, May 16th 1948, the beloved daughter of Stanley Stetson Thompson Ricker and Dorothy (Pierce) Ricker.

Sandy is survived by her husband Peter A. Angelini, her brother Stanley (Ley) P. Ricker and Sister-in-Law Cathy, Brother-in-Law Stephen Angelini and his wife Jean. Six nieces and one nephew. Sandy was very close with her cousins and loved spending time with them at Gravely Beach Farm in Marshfield, Massachusetts.  Together they sang the old songs of Kinderkamp, a summer camp established by her parents in 1938, that has nurtured and still nurtures generations of local children.

Sandy was predeceased by her parents, her sister Cynthia Ricker, and her very special four-legged friend Ruby.

Sandy was most comfortable in the woods or on the water. She inspired many children by sharing her vast knowledge of all things in nature and its many fascinating critters.

Sandy lived by the credo “the joy is in the giving” deriving great pleasure while helping others especially in their time of need.

Her family is extremely grateful for the care and compassion extended by the Visiting Nurses, Aides, and the Staff and Hospice Care Team at Clinton Hospital.

There are no calling hours or services per Sandy’s request.

Sandy will be remembered at her favorite place with a celebration of her wonderful life at a later date. To honor Sandy, please do a good deed for someone in need or consider adopting a pet from a rescue shelter.
