Thomas McDermott Sr.

Leominster  -   Thomas McDermott Sr., 79, of Leominster, died January 14, 2022, in HealthAlliance Hospital, Leominster, after a long battle with cancer.  He was born February 18, 1942, in Leominster, son of the late Austin and Yvonne (Nantelle) McDermott.  Tom was a graduate of Leominster Trade High School.  He worked as a chemical compound maker at Borden Chemical and Lukon, and as a shipper and receiver for San Cor Industries.  He was a member of the Franco American Club and St. Cecilia's Church.

Tom is survived by his daughter; Sherry McDermott and her partner, Willis Buswell, of Leominster, his son; Thomas McDermott Jr. and his wife Michelle of Leominster,   his grandchildren; Kerrielle McDermott of NH, Ryan McDermott and his wife Cassandra of FL, Caitlyn Buswell of Leominster, a great granddaughter, Nora McDermott, one brother; Austin M. McDermott of Douglas, MA, two sisters; Kathleen Boudreau and Judith Bergeron both of Leominster.

He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Linda M.(Leger) McDermott on December 12, 2021, his grandson; Thomas McDermott III, brother; Gerry McDermott and sisters; Rita Marceau and Maureen Shields.

Tom's Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 20th, 2022 at 12:00 noon in Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West St., Leominster, MA.  Calling hours will precede the service Thursday morning from 10:00 - 12:00 noon in the funeral home.

Memorial  donations to a favorite charity may be made in memory of Thomas McDermott Sr.  Please omit flowers.
