Tom Formoso

Tom Formoso, 50, of Leominster, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, April 13th, 2026. He was born November 8th , 1975, in Montevideo, Uruguay. He and his family moved to Fitchburg, MA when he was 10 years old. He was an avid soccer player his entire childhood and was a graduate of Monty Tech Regional High School.

Tom was a long-term employee at Market Basket and Nina’s Pizza before becoming a beloved bartender at Stooges Pub in Fitchburg. Through these years of employment, he made many lifelong friends that became family.

Tom is survived by his wife, Dawn Formoso; daughter and son-in-law, Teighan and Nathan Taylor; son, Dominick Formoso; parents, Jose Formoso and Ana Escondeur; sister and brother-in-law, Dayana and Eric Carlson, and their children, Sophia and Jake.

Tom met the love of his life, Dawn, in a salon chair in 1996. After spending some years apart, they reunited in 2003 and started their life together with Dawn’s 5-year-old daughter, Teighan, who he raised as his own from the day they met. Tom and Dawn married on August 19th, 2006 and welcomed their son, Dominick, on May 13th, 2009. Along with his two children, he had many other babies and grandbabies (all of whom had fur, feathers and gills.)

Tom spent his free time biking and kayaking with his children, working on his many projects in the backyard, or napping in the pool (only to wake up with a sunburn, yet again.) He was an avid motorcyclist. Tom loved to spend time with his many friends. Wherever he was, good times followed. He was generous and always willing to lend a helping hand. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter and a backyard full of items for his family to manage. 

Wake services will be Saturday April 25th from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm at Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc. 109 West Street,  Leominster. Followed by a celebration of life at Franco American Club, 300 Water Street, Leominster.
