Wayne Draleaus, 69, of Fitchburg, died Friday, June 26, 2026, at HealthAlliance Leominster-Clinton Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born on February 27, 1957, in St. Albans, VT, the son of the late Robert and Gertrude (Bragg) Draleaus.
He graduated from Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans, Vermont. He worked as a mason for the San-Val Company in Littleton, MA for many years. He cherished family gatherings, enjoyed being outdoors, the fresh air, and was a lifelong fan of the New England Patriots and lifelong member of The Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
Throughout his life, Wayne faced significant medical challenges with remarkable strength and quiet dignity. Despite his struggles, he never complained or lost hope. He met each obstacle with courage and perseverance, and those who knew him best will remember him as a man of incredible resilience, determination, and inner strength.
He is survived by his children, in order from oldest to youngest: Carl Vanderhoof and his spouse, Sandy; Crystal Draleaus; Raymond Draleaus and his spouse, Shannon; and Cynthia Draleaus and her spouse, Jeff Pearl. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Deondra, Nakhien, Keomi, Justice, Parker, and Tilcia; his great-granddaughter, Jayla; as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.
He is also survived by his siblings: Robert Draleaus Jr. and his wife Joyce; Joanne Freeman; Barbara (Draleaus) Curtis and her husband Gary Curtis; Penelope Brandt and her husband Dennis Brandt; Paula Antwi-Ayim; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Ronald Draleaus and Patrice Draleaus.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West Street, Leominster, MA from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at Knights of Columbus, 165 Electric Ave., Fitchburg, MA.
