We are heartbroken over the loss of Wayne (Wayno) Gariepy, 67, of Fitchburg, MA. Throughout his journey Wayne displayed incredible strength courage and unwavering hope. Wayne passed peacefully November 11, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Wayne lived life full of throttle with love in his heart and a huge smile on his face.
Wayne was born and raised in Leominster, MA son of Wilfrid Gariepy and the late Constance (Day) Gariepy of Leominster, MA. Wayne drove tractor trailer for almost 20 years with Rafferty Aluminum & Steel in Sterling, MA. Wayne truly enjoyed driving all over New England and really appreciated his Rafferty family. Wayne enjoyed NASCAR, Bruins, Patriots, volleyball, bowling, ice fishing, hiking, boating and camping, but his favorite times were with his family playing in the pool, sitting around the fire pit with large family get togethers. Wayne's sense of humor was next level funny and his kindness towards all people and animals will be greatly missed.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 20 years Jill Gariepy, his son Ryan Gariepy and his wife Kari Holmes of Gardner, one daughter Crystal Stugard of Fitchburg, two amazing grandchildren Trevor and Sienna Gariepy, his father Wilfrid Gariepy, one brother Jeffrey Gariepy and wife Tammy of West Boylston, MA , and one sister Deborah (Gariepy) Dietel and her husband Irving of Sterling, MA., along with many other family members, friends and his fur babies Pebbles and Oliver.
