Wayne P Powers

Wayne Powers, 76, died September 27, 2022 of complications from pneumonia at Henry Heywood Hospital in Gardner, MA.  His final days were spent surrounded by his family.

His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He especially loved his fishing trips with his oldest granddaughter, Carly. He loved Friday night cocktails with the love of his life on their patio, enjoying oldies and his flower garden he worked so hard on which was his happy place. His absolute favorite place to vacation was Cape Cod where he spent many happy days at the beach. He has been a devoted Patriots fan for many years. He loved going to games with his brother-in-law, Joe, son and nephews.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Shirley, his son Chris and his wife Tabitha, his daughter Jen and her husband, K.J, as well as six granddaughters, Carly and Liana Churchill, Elaina, Eva, Emilia, and Elise Powers. He also had several nephews that he loved dearly. 

Calling hours will be held Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West St. Leominster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022, at 11:00 am in Holy Family of Nazareth Church 750 Union Street, Leominster.
