Woodrow Martin Jr. Obituary

Leominster - Woodrow "Woody" W. Martin Jr., 81, of Leominster, died January 31, 2021, in LifeCare Center of Leominster after an illness.  He was born April 26, 1939, in Gardner, MA, son of the late Woodrow W. Martin Sr.,  and Mary (French) Martin.  He was a US Army Veteran, serving from 1962 - 1964 with Company D, 503rd Sup & Trans Bn, 3rd Armd Division.  Woody worked at United Cooperative Farmers  before retiring in 2002.  He was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church where he loved ushering.  He also enjoyed traveling, fishing with his son and grandson, seasonal hunting at deer camp in Vermont with family and friends and word search puzzles. Soft music and a cold beer always made him feel great.

Woody is survived by his wife Sheila (Kirkwood) Martin of Leominster, his grandson, Scott Martin Jr., of North Carolina, and his siblings; Wayne Martin of South Carolina, Allen Martin of Royalston, MA, Sandra Demers of Chicopee, MA, along with many nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in Evergreen Cemetery, 357 Main Street, Leominster, MA. All are invited to attend.
