Leo C. Gravel

Fitchburg - Leo C. Gravel, 93, of Fitchburg, died August 23, 2019, after being stricken ill at home.  He was born June 21, 1926, in Fitchburg, son of the late Alphonse and Lena (Leger) Gravel.  Mr. Gravel worked as a stockroom manager at Digital Equipment Co.  He had served in the US Army from Sept. 1950 through Oct. 1951, with the 70th Ord Sup Dep Co.    He had attained the rank of PFC and had received the Occupation Medal Germany.

Leo is survived by  four sons; Lee Gravel, David Gravel, Raymond Gravel and Louis Gravel,  one daughter; AnnMarie Gravel, one sister; Yvonne Lagasse, 23 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife Doris M. (Dupuis) Gravel in 2006,  two sons; Robert Gravel and Rene Gravel and one daughter; Laura (Gravel) McGinnis.
