Leominster - Vincent David Scaramuzzi, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2017.  He was born May 2, 1925, son of the late Pasquale and Antoinette (Carrabba) Scaramuzzi.  He was a devoted loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.  He graduated from the former Saxton Trade School in 1945 and was a life-long resident of Leominster, MA and St. Anna's Parish.

He served our country proudly in the Navy during WWII as a machinist.  He went to work for Banner Mold and Die company as a die maker.  He was excellent in his trade for 46 years.  Vincent was well liked by everyone.  He bonded in matrimony with Josephine Lentini from Woburn, MA and they were happily married for 65 years.  Vincent enjoyed dancing with his wife and they were quite good at it! They enjoyed traveling together to Italy, Hawaii, Las Vegas, Aruba and many more places.  He also was an avid walker, enjoyed playing cards with his friends and he was a very talented wood maker, making furniture for his family.  Vincent loved his Boston Red Sox.

Vincent was a well known and loved citizen in the community spreading kindness with his bright smile, conversation and uplifting personality.  He was a member for many years of the Leominster Order of the Knights of Columbus, Leominster Eagles  Aerie #477, the former Foggia Club, and #6 Community Center.  Vincent leaves his wife, Josephine, his daughter Diane Grubis and husband John Grubis of Colorado, his daughter,  Carol McNamara and husband George McNamara of Leominster, his remaining siblings Antoinette Livieratos, step sisters, Marie Lattanzio, Grace Lemoine, and step brothers, Bill Nacke and John Nacke, and many nieces and nephews and a host of many community and extended friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, his brother, Michael Scaramuzzi; sisters, Lena Ricci, Gemma Bishop, and twin sister Ophelia Penzabene.  He will be truly missed but never forgotten and will always remain in our hearts and memories

The family would like to thank UMASS Memorial Health Alliance Home Health and Hospice for the excellent care given to Vincent, as well as friends of the family,  Betty and Fred DePasquale, David Piermarini and Louise Kennedy.

Vincent's Funeral will be held Friday, November 10, 2017, in St. Anna's Church, 199 Lancaster St., Leominster, with a Mass of  Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.  Military Honors will follow.  Burial will be private.  There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Anna's Restoration Fund, 199 Lancaster St., Leominster, MA 01453.
